A supervised, hands-on role designed to build real skills and confidence. You’ll work alongside experienced Fixsmiths, learn proper techniques, and grow into independent work over time.

An independent, customer-facing role for experienced maintenance pros who can show up prepared, work within scope, and leave homes better than they found them.

No. All Fixsmiths and Apprentices are W-2 employees, paid hourly. This is not app-based or per-task gig work.

No. There is no guaranteed minimum. Most team members start part-time with flexible scheduling based on demand and availability.

General home maintenance and repair within Washington handyman scope:
Drywall, paint, doors, hardware
Mounting, assembly, adjustments
Home safety and function upgrades
No unlicensed electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or permit-required work.

No. We have a strict scope-of-work policy. You will never be penalized for stopping work and asking questions.

No. These roles do not require a specialty trade license. Licensed trade work is handled by partner companies.

Basic hand tools are helpful. Specialty tools are provided or supplied per job. Expectations are discussed during onboarding.

Yes. Fixsmiths work directly in occupied homes. Professionalism, communication, and respect are essential.

Yes. Apprentices can advance to Fixsmith roles. Lead roles emerge as the team grows.
